Our Achievements
When the National Party took over the leadership of the coalition government in June 2013, Balochistan was at the peak of emergencies, terrorism, target killings, bomb blasts, kidnappings for ransom, and robberies. All national highways were unsafe for travel, and some districts had become no-go areas. Many people had migrated from Quetta and other areas to Sindh, Punjab, and other regions due to kidnappings for ransom and target killings. The police and civil administration were completely paralyzed. FIRs for crimes like target killings, sectarianism, and kidnappings for ransom were registered against unknown individuals.
Revitalizing the Police Administration
The government decided to activate the police administration and eliminate political interference in the police department. Political interference in transfers and postings was also eliminated.
Providing Resources
A reasonable number of new vehicles and modern equipment were provided to the police and levies.
Training
The Pakistan Army was involved in training the police and levies.
Salary Increase
The salaries of the police were increased by 10 billion rupees, bringing them at par with the Punjab police.
Safe City Projects
Two billion rupees were approved for the Quetta Safe City and Gwadar Safe City projects.
